This December, the Dirty Dog Jazz Cafe in Grosse Pointe will host two evenings with Herbie Russ, a soulful performer who wears many musical hats — singer, saxophonist, keyboardist, producer and songwriter. These performances will benefit families served by COTS in Detroit. Soup City – The Roaring Twenties Edition features music, art, and soup galore from more than 30 Metro Detroit restaurants. This event is sure to warm your soul and benefit families served by COTS! Guests can embrace the smooth sounds of Alexander Zonjic and Friends in the Jazz Café and dance to a host of other musicians and entertainers throughout the venue. 1920s wardrobe encouraged. All donations will help COTS continue our mission of providing affordable housing and shelter to families overcoming poverty and homelessness.To bring the warmth and tradition of Soup City to your home, COTS offers Houseparty Kits that includes soup mixes, desserts, COTS swag, digital link to Alexander Zonjic’s newest release, “Playing it Forward”, a Houseparty Guide with access to drawings and prizes and more.
Assisting families in reaching their housing, economic, health, education, and career goals through coaching, mentorship and support as they strive to overcome homelessness and break the cycle of poverty for the next generation.
